Industrial Automation - Amherst, New Hampshire, United States
Since the 1995 launch of its first Pioneer research robot, the Adept MobileRobots group has grown to be a global leader in the design and manufacture of intelligent mobile platforms. The company now produces robot platforms, autonomous navigation systems and software for academics and commercial application developers. In 2010, MobileRobots Inc. was purchased by Adept Technology, a California based manufacturer of high speed packaging and assembly robots. Adept has continued to develop MobileRobots' navigation technologies for use for warehouse automation and commercial courier applications. Our fleet includes a wide range of research platforms, from the tiny AmigoBot classroom robot to the 300 kg Seekur outdoor autonomous vehicle. Adept MobileRobots has developed several key robotic technologies, including intelligent automated charging solutions, an open robotic development programming environment, and robust indoor and outdoor autonomous navigation systems. The Amherst facility houses the manufacturing, research and development teams for our mobile robotic platforms. Amherst is also home to the Adept Robotic Arm Application Development Facility, where we showcase our industrial Viper, Cobra, and Quattro robotic arms.
