The Admiral Center is a partnership between NBA Legend David Robinson and Living Cities* created to increase the effectiveness of celebrity-branded philanthropy, with the potential to achieve systems-level change over the long-term. By helping professional athletes and entertainers channel their passions into clearly defined and well-organized causes, the quality of their community initiatives can be greatly enhanced for maximum impact. Through the support of the Admiral Center, emerging celebrity philanthropists have the opportunity to become leaders in their field and inspire others to use their celebrity for greater positive social change in urban communities nationwide. Current members include David Robinson, Eva Longoria Parker, Allan Houston and Russell Simmons, Chris Paul, Dave Matthews, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw*Living Cities is an 18 year old ongoing collaboration of 22 of the world's largest foundations and financial institutions working together to reengineer American's cities.
