ALSE's core competency is in planning and implementation of uninterrupted real-time positioning systems and integration of those systems with other systems for a variety of applications including cadastral certifications, land administration and management, mining operations, GIS data banking, and broad range of Location Based Services (LBS). ALSE's subsidiary GUES, Inc. (Geomatics for Utility Services and Engineering, Inc.) has expertise and capabilities in producing 3D CAD/CAM-quality GIS mappings of underground utilities networks and in detecting leaks in such networks (power, gas, water, sewer, cable TV, internet, telephone etc.) without the need for excavations and ground disturbance. And, in addition to pipes and cables, GUES technology can be used to discover a broad range of buried structures. GUES-produced services and products help utility companies have better enterprise-level decision-making and collaboration with other utilities; offer better, faster, and more reliable customer service; lower costs throughout the enterprise operations; and improve productivity while reducing enterprise risks.
