Market Research - San Antonio, TX, US
Our mission is to establish a premiere, esteemed Advanced Robotics organization at UTSA to enhance engineering education by providing technical and leadership experience through robotic project-based applications, collegiate competitions, and industry research-oriented collaborations. Our active projects include:Franky - We are on our way to San Diego for the RoboSub Competition in the summer of 2020. We have built an ROV Submarine, named Franky, and are on our way to making it fully autonomous.IEEE R5 - We are currently designing and building a fully autonomous sorting robot for the R5 competition.NASA Student Launch - Advanced Robotics has partnered with the UTSA Aeronautics and Rocket Club to try and tackle this extremely challenging rocket and robotics competition. We are looking forward to a great collaboration. Manufacturing Robotic Arm - This project is to design a fully automated robotic arm that can sort and organize numbered, colored and lettered blocks. This is the perfect project for students looking to learn to CAD and learn more about computer vision. LIDAR Robot – The goal of this project is to build a robot that can navigate an obstacle course autonomously using LIDAR. This project will give great insight for students getting into basic robotics and mechatronics as well as data collection and sensors.SumoBot Competition – Advanced Robotics will be holding our first robotic sumo wrestling competition. This fully Arduino non-destructive fight is open to any Advanced Robotics member who is looking to learn more about robotics.
