The Advocates for Responsible Care (ARxC) is an alliance of health care professionals, patient advocates, and human rights specialists dedicated to the cause of reducing cultural incompetency and health care delivery disparity. We are a 501(c)3 advocacy organization that focuses on informing the public, especially the patients, about all health care advocacy issues. We advocate on behalf of ensuring full access to medical care for all Georgians.ARxC originally organized in August 2009 to assist the Grady Dialysis Clinic Patients with receiving ongoing treatment when they were faced with the threat of the outpatient dialysis clinic closing in September 2009. We have continued to support their fight for life through the court system and have attempted negotiations with Grady Hospital and dialysis companies. We also appealed to the citizens of Georgia. We continue this fight daily and will not stop until their voices are heard. A petition to get these patients continuoous life-sustaining treatment is at: www.thepetitionsite.com/1/dialysis-crisis.com. Please sign it to help these patients live!ARxC is developing the first steps in our vision for health care reform and the opportunity of obtaining medical insurance for Georgians. A survey will be administered through the Advocacy Action page on our website. We will be asking your opinions and views on health care reform. We will also present perspectives from other stakeholders involved in this health care movement. It is our strong belief that patient advocates should be and will be a part of this new health care template.
