Adwait Biwalkar is a renowned music teacher, composer and a pianist from Mumbai. His music education commenced at an early age of 6 under the tutelage of his father Shriram Biwalkar, a well renowned guitarist and an arranger from Mumbai.He studied classical and jazz piano in Mumbai for over a decade under tutelage of senior teachers like Evelyn Acharya, Roshan Chowna, Benedict D'Silva and Nyla Masood. Alongside he also took guidance from the well renowned music arranger Late Mr. Anil Mohile on music arrangement and composition.He has completed QCF Level 3 (Grade 8) examinations in Piano Solo, Jazz Piano, Theory of Music and Popular Music Theory. Currently he is studying Jazz Piano, Brazilian Music and Composition & Arrangement from some of the jazz greats like Philippe Baden Powell, Lilian Dericq, Julien Alour and Joe Makholm at Bill Evans Piano Academy, Paris.At age of 15 he started working in various recording studios in Mumbai as a sound recordist and a recording assistant. He has been teaching piano privately and at various institutes and conducting workshops in various cities in India for over a decade. He plays piano as a soloist and as an accompanist in various concerts with many Indian and foreign artists. He also plays as a piano accompanist for various western choirs which include many school choirs.His experience also includes music composition for numerous independent films, advertisement commercials and short films for some of the top production houses.
