Immediately after he completed a 5 year residency and Board Certification in General Surgery at Keesler USAF Medical Center. After completing General Surgery, he began a three year residency in Plastic Surgery at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in San Antonio Texas. Following his training, he was assigned as the first plastic surgeon at the world's largest military base - Ft. Hood Texas.Dr. Day is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and serves as a consultant for major medical corporations. He is the recipient of numerous military awards and honors.Dr. Day has also served as Chief of Surgery for Metroplex Hospital and Chief of Staff for Seton Medical Center Harker Heights.
