AethLabs was founded in May of 2011 by brothers Jeff and Steven Blair in San Francisco, California to focus on the development of high quality personal exposure and Black Carbon monitoring instruments. Through designing and manufacturing reliable and accurate measurement instrumentation, AethLabs helps to enable new science related to public health and climate change.Currently, AethLabs' main product is the microAeth® AE51 - a handheld personal Black Carbon monitor. AethLabs has made improvements to the microAeth AE51 hardware and software and, in 2012, moved manufacturing and assembly from Europe to the San Francisco Bay Area with final assembly in-house at our San Francisco facility. The microAeth® AE51 is available in the United States directly from AethLabs and worldwide through our distributors.
