#AfricavsVirus CHALLENGESocially committed citizens from all over the world were invited to join a 72-hour collaborative digital process to prototype tech and non tech solutions addressing the challenges presented by the coronavirus pandemic to African societies, economies, and individuals. Over 25,000 governments, civil society organizations, companies, and citizens took part in the Ideathon and developed 750 solutions to tackle the virus across the continent. Participants from 54 African countries joined the Ideathon, whose contribution has not only created actual, implementable and valuable solutions to fight the virus: They have created hope, inspiration and empowerment to so many people in the community and beyond. Following the #AfricaVsVirus Challenge, the best solutions will be fully implemented with partners and donors in Africa and worldwide.
