Armed Force Welfare Organization abbreviated as AFOWO is a social service organization with a mission of assisting and helping the serving as well as retired armed forces personnel and their families. The organization is registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 (Registration No. S/1431) and works on No Profit No Loss basis. Under the visionary guidance of Gp. Capt. Yudhvir Talwar(Retd.), President of AFOWO and Wg. Cdr. S. Mukherjee(Retd)., Secretary of AFOWO, the main aim, of the organization is to assist, help and serve the serving as well as the retired armed force personnel's and their families who have set the supreme example of selfless service and sacrifice for the welfare of their Motherland. It is now our turn to pay some gratitude towards them and with this aim AFOWO is assiduously working in promoting and facilitating various welfare schemes to serve Serving, Retired Armed forces personnel. The organization is on the path of steady growth and tries to achieve one milestone after another. This is an initiative which is headed and managed by retired officers of Indian defense services with the active support of experienced professional from all walks of life.The society conducts demand surveys in various cities, and after gauging the viability of the project, offers housing units at subsidized prices.
