The Africa Canada Accountability Coalition (ACAC) was created in response to the November 2008 crisis in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) by four University of British Columbia students. The coalition believes a multi-faceted approach is needed to lessen the severity of the conflict. This approach involves challenging multiple aspects of Canadian society to assume their responsibility to alleviate human suffering in the DRC be they academic, corporate, government, international organizations, non-profits or individuals.
