Africa Development Resources and Capacities Institute (ADRECI) is an independent policy and action research organisation promoting sustainable development and peace in Africa. As a not-for-profit, Africa-focused establishment, our goal is to support local priorities by linking science, policy and practice from a bold, creative, and truly Africa-centred perspective. In collaboration with like-minded entities across the globe – including sub-national and national governments; regional and continent-wide authorities; private, non-governmental and civil society organisations – we strive to contribute towards better, more sustainable solutions to the urgent, multidimensional challenges that that continue to bedevil Africa. We bring working African perspectives that have too often missed in ‘Africa-focused' challenge-solution discourses. It is our core believe that without this, and continuing with the disconnected approaches, the investments targeted at facilitating solutions to Africa's challenges are likely to yield little benefits (if any) beyond the cosmetic temporary touches on the fringes. In the long run, an even larger population of Africans usually end up in dire positions, and other parts of the world, near and far, feel the impacts of this. At ADRECI, we hope to facilitate bridge this critical gap, and enhance the impact of internal and external investments for the sustainable development (prosperity) and peace of Africa.Our Vision: We envisage a prosperous and resilient Africa that enjoys sustainable development and Peace.
