The Africa Executive Coaching Council (AECC) is the go-to aggregator and advocate for executive coaching in Africa. Incorporated in Zambia in 2018, the AECC's mission is to create an executive coaching ecosystem in Africa that promotes best practices and relevant support to stakeholders for positive transformation.The AECC was birthed from the success of the Financial Sector Executive Coaching Advisory Board(FS-ECAB) that was set up by FSDA (Financial Sector Deepening Africa) to Impact businesses by developing coaching cultures and purposeful leadership in the financial sector in sub-Saharan Africa. The AECC is governed by a twelve-member Management Board with representatives from four African countries and is led by the renowned Business leader, Martin Oduor-Otieno as the Chairman.Working through regional hubs for Southern, East and West Africa, the AECC is uniquely positioned to bring executive coaching expertise, analytical thinking, resource mobilization, sector leadership and commercial awareness to the stakeholders of executive coaching through conferences, online platforms, research reports, periodic journals and membership forums.The Objectives of the Council are:- Advocacy and awareness-raising: Demonstrating how coaching can address business challenges in an African context through publishing business cases, presentations and forums.- Promoting best practice: Create links with accrediting bodies, raise awareness of standards, hold forums, introduce award and recognition, publishing best practice guideline- Knowledge and evidence: Quality audits and value surveys, evidence, evidence-based studies- Increasing access to accredited training: Promoting and enabling accredited training institutions to reach wider geography.- Advisory and networking: Mapping and connecting stakeholders
