African Diaspora Business Network is a private company limited by guarantee and is the not- for- profit arm of SSEN Investment Limited. Following engagement with the All Party Parliamentary Group on BAME Business Owners, under the auspices of SSEN Investment Limited, it became obvious that the African Diaspora demography was not fully identified within the BAME business community who as a whole, were experiencing various barriers to their growth including but not limited to: *Lack of access to information *Lack of access to opportunities *Lack of training in completing application forms for grants and loans *Challenges with pre- qualification for procurement and related services. ADBN seeks to close the gap by creating an opportunity for dialogue and engagement between our businesses and all stake holders and to be a voice for the African Diaspora business community. We shall represent our businesses at the highest level of government and participate in the development and formulation of policy for sustainable support for BAME businesses. Importantly, we are here to provide support to our businesses and create an environment of collaboration where we each help the other's business to grow. We will not only look after the businesses in our network, we will look after the business owners, offering physical and emotional support. In recent times, we have been involved with the APPG ON BAME BUSINESSES in various projects, notably: 1.Report on the impact of COVID on BAME businesses titled Voice from the grassroots.2. Barclays bank digital skills pilot programme for BAME businesses.3. APPG/BAME roundtable with UK Finance ( banks)4. We are a member of Federation of Small Businesses and collaborating with them on various initiatives to promote BAME businesses.5. We are partnering with Curry Connect UK to offer free online trading packages to BAME businesses, including free website and hardware products.6. We hold a webinar monthly.
