World Water Works is dedicated to helping people escape the stranglehold of disease and poverty caused by disasters which destroy their homes and possessions and leave them without safe water and sanitation.This is a project that is run entirely by Rotarians from my Club (Chelwood Bridge, North East Somerset, England - District 1200). There are two types of WSB: the standard box is designed for a family of four people and will provide each of them with 2 litres of clean drinking water each day for one year. This box also contains a range of essential survival items when the family has lost all its possessions as in an earthquake, tsunami, hurricane, flooding, etc - the list can be seen on our website (www.worldwaterworks.org) . Each standard box costs £150 ($240). The multi-pack comprises 5 WSBs each of which is equipped only with the means of providing clean water (i.e. where families have not lost their possessions but lack access to safe drinking water)
