IN A NUTSHELLThe African Photographic Society is an international association with the aim of fostering the development and promotion of African photography and photographic practices in Africa.MOTIVATIONIn the past decade we have witnessed a tremendous growth of interest in African photography and photographic practices in Africa which has led on a global level to a multitude of individual and collective initiatives with the aim of supporting and forwarding this development. We believe it is time to unite and coordinate these efforts in order to collectively strengthen the voice of African photography internationally.GOALSThe African Photographic Society has the goal to:- create an international network of individuals and collective bodies working towards the common goal of promoting African photography and photographic practices in Africa- foster coordination, collaboration and exchange among and between the members of the African Photographic Society with regard to common and individual projects and initiatives- communicate the activities and goals of the African Photographic Society
