• African Forestry (AF) is a professional, non-governmental and non-profit member-based organisation founded in 2016, currently has a total of 13 members nationwide.• It derives its functions and operations from the will of the forestry-related stakeholders and endeavours to fulfil its objectives in the best interest of the public. • AF has a vision of strengthening the private sector, civil society and local communities in an environmental and economically sustainable manner.• AF mission is to work towards the development of forestry industry programs, including fundraising for its programs and execution, which promote responsible forest management in Tanzania and the region. • By lobbying, training and scientific research programs, AF seeks to aid in the development of a conducive policy and institutional and legal framework based on fundamental understanding of the importance of management of forest resources to achieve ‘green growth and economy' for sustainable development.
