AfroFundisa is a 100% black-owned tutoring company with a decolonial mission. Instead of just debating decolonisation, we are doing it. It was Franz Fanon who said, "each generation must, out of relative obscurity, discover its mission, fulfil it or betray it". We have found our mission and we intent to fulfil it. Our mission is clear, we want to fix our current educational injustice by challenging the continued colonisation of knowledge, being, methodology and power. We believe that since decoloniality as a theoretical lens is at war with coloniality, all forms of violence and silences in our curriculum will be exposed.Our tutoring methodology is decolonised. We believe that all sciences can be decolonised and decolonising these sciences requires that we prove their epistemological limitations and localise them so that they respond to the needs of the locations in which they are applied. We aim therefore, to challenge colonisation all sciences and produce students who can contest with knowledge and theory from the position of their contextual reality.
