After Incarceration's mission is to build power in communities directly impacted by policies of excessive punishment and mass incarceration. We envision a restorative reentry experience for everyone. We create a space in which people have a chance to process the trauma of incarceration and fortify support to sustain the resiliency necessary to break through the barriers to freedom that exist after incarceration. We work to affirm the value of all human beings, to transform pain into power, and create the community networks that are critical to collective efficacy and true liberation.
