After the Races Details
After the Races is a Thoroughbred rehabilitation center located in Nottingham, Pennsylvania that takes in retiring Thoroughbreds after they are done racing at Philadelphia Park. All horses are fully vetted and evaluated prior to arrival to our farm so that we can then put together a rehabilitation plan that fits each individual horse's needs. As the horse is rehabilitated, we spend time evaluating the horse's temperament and physical capabilities. With the individual in mind, we then seek to match these wonderful horses to new homes.We are a non profit corporation in the state of Pennsylvania and are working on acquiring our federal exemption status. We absolutely do not operate for profit and are able to do our work thanks to the wonderful help of our volunteers, items and funds donated by fellow horse enthusiasts, and any proceeds gained when horses find their new homes. Currently, not even our manager, who works over 60 hours a week, takes any pay. Every dollar donated is precious to us and goes directly toward feeding and caring for these amazing animals.
