It develops homegrown leaders with ethical foundations based on spirituality, and desire and ability to create positive change in the world. The three schools of the Aga Khan Academy Nairobi work together to develop the IB learner profile beginning with an inquiry-based approach in the Early Years Primary Years Programme (PYP) at The Nursery School, followed by the Primary Years Programme (PYP) at the Junior School for grades 1-6. Students continue in the Senior School, enrolling in the Middle Years Programme of studies (MYP) for grades 7-11.
