The Aga Khan School, Mundra, is the first of the many schools founded by Sir Sultan Mohamed Shah, Aga Khan III. It was established in 1905 near the Mundra port as a Gujarati-medium school, but has since evolved into an English-medium school with a spacious campus.The multicultural ethos of the School provides a unique opportunity to the students to learn about working and engaging with others in the larger community. The science lab, the computer lab, the amphitheatre and the library are sanctums where students can experience interactive and engaging ways of learning. Students have the opportunity to engage in several extra-curricular activities so that they may become well-rounded individuals.The Aga Khan School, Mundra is affiliated with the Gujarat State Education Board, but use innovative techniques to teach the prescribed syllabi to the 700 girls and boys enrolled in our classes, from the first to the tenth standard. We use our own methodology—Shishu Pahel Paddhati—in the primary section to nurture the children's talents and stimulate their natural curiosity.We also promote the development of our teachers, as it is a valuable investment in the future of our school and our communities. Additionally, we believe in closely involving the parents in the educational process to make it more rewarding and efficient for our students so that they become lifelong learners and valuable members of the society.
