Support victims of the war in ColombiaHere is an overview of what we doAgape has conducted many Reconciliation gatherings in the presence of former child soldiers, victims of forced displacement, refugees, victims of forced disappearance, victims of kidnappings, children who lost parents and relatives through Colombia's armed struggle, women victims of sexual abuse, victims of landmines and members of the police force who were kidnapped by the FARC, and former combatants, alongside the participation of members of civil society. Other activities include Reflection Workshops on specific issues that arise from the Reconciliations gatherings and that often relate to the different types of victimization or to the healing process of the emotional wounds left as a consequence of the war process i.e the transit from victim to survivor and Peace Promoter. Presentations of Social dramas designed by Agape´s Peace Promoters illustrate the challenges and achievements on their reconciliation and healing processes. The Peace Promoters are former victims and through these presentations, they want to sensitize members of civil society to the realities of the war and its consequences. Agape also has provides follow up of participants and organized group meetings with members in order to facilitate and support personal transformation.
