After almost a decade of working in the field of agriculture through NGO and para-professional working a group of well qualified agro-professionals promoted a company with farmers as shareholders in the name of Chhattisgarh Agricon Private Limited (CAPL) in the year 2005 at Raipur. The company has share holders from different disciplines of agriculture including Agriculture graduates, post graduate and Ph. D.The Chhattisgarh Agricon Pvt. Ltd has been a successful venture and developed very good linkage with government and private institutions. With the increasing demand of farmers to become share holder of the company, the First Public limited company of Farmers Agricons Agropreneurs Limited was promoted in the year 2007 by Chhattisgarh Agricon. The company has main objective of providing maximum benefit to farmers by encouraging them to become agro-entrepreneurs. The company was established with an aim of having a Primary Producer Company, later on it was realized that due to lack of understanding about Company act for Producer company it was registered under Company act 1956 (1) of 56, whereas it should have been registered under section 581 of Company act. Therefore it was requested to Registrar of Company to convert it into desired act, however this could not be done. In December 2008 a fresh application was prepared and Agricons Agro Producer Company Limited got registered in January 2009 under section 581 (A) of Company act 1956.
