Over the last century African Countries have been experiencing an extraordinary rapid urbanisation trend, namely, in 1900 about 5% of Africa's inhabitants lived in towns and cities; by 1950 (the start of the independence period) 14.7% of Africa's inhabitants have urbanised; in 2000 the urban population has risen to 37.2%; and this is expected to rise even further to 45.3% in 2015.This rapid urbanisation trend is destructive as Africa is fast losing it's farmers and consequently it's ability to feed it's people; the towns and cities are placed under great pressure to provide more housing and related services; the Health Care systems of most African countries are under severe stain and the like.Agricultural Projects International has been established in 2010 with a purpose to:- establish new or improve existing agricultural, industrial, tourism and mining activities;- improve the quality of rural living in order to retain people in their rural communities;- establish and operate agricultural training, research and development facilities that can transfer best practice agricultural practises to local communities;- and to develop rural Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMME's).
