Coach on Women Economic Empowerment and Value Chain Development
The Strengthening Education for Agricultural Development (SEAD) Project aims to contribute to achieving sustainable food security in Rwanda. It improves education and training, research and community services in agricultural production, value chain management, and land and water management. Furthermore, SEAD maintains close ties to the private sector. SEAD is funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the EP-NUFFIC Netherlands Initiative for Capacity development in Higher Education (NICHE) programme, and implemented through a partnership between the Rwandan Development Board (RDB) and Mott MacDonald in consortium with Delphy BV, Maastricht School of Management, Q-Point BV, SNV Netherlands Development Organisation, Stellenbosch University, TU Delft and Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences. Rwandan beneficiaries of SEAD are the University of Rwanda (Colleges of Agriculture, Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Science and Technology, and Business and Economics), INES Ruhengeri, and a number of TVET institutions across the country.
