AgriTech Mission Details
The Inaugural Agri-Tech Mission took place from April 27 - May 7, 2015 and raised over $50,000 to send North American young professionals on a 10-day trip to Israel to explore the intersection between agriculture, business and technology. Participants were provided access to high profile international conferences and personal lectures from leading investors, incubators, entrepreneurs, start-up executives, government officials and academics throughout the space. The goal - strengthening ties between Canada and Israel with a focus on agriculture - is already being achieved: some participants returned home with new contacts that will assist in their own relevant ventures while others are working closely with companies and funds to provide strategic introductions to investors, advisers and customers.
