AGIR, a development cooperative that advocates community self-care, not only provides its members with an investment whose income guarantees the survival of their households, but also and above all contributes to improving the socioeconomic living conditions of the communities local and indigenous peoples of North Kivu in general and, in particular, those of the Bapère Sector Community through the promotion of sustainable agriculture and the rational use of natural resources. The missions of AGIR: • Provide technical, organizational and financial support to grassroots organizations with a view to strengthening their capacity; • Actively participate in agricultural production activities; • Ensure the conservation, processing and marketing of agricultural products; • Contribute to promoting the management and rehabilitation of natural resources; • Promote cooperative entrepreneurship.
