Agroventa is a family-run insect farming business that aims to encourage eating insects as a sustainable food. We breed the highest quality of edible crickets that are delicious, low in complex fats, and a highly nutritious source of protein.Edible crickets have an amazing nutritional profile (great source of protein, nine essential amino acids, and Vitamin b12), and their consumption helps reduce the environmental impact of our diet.Our mission is to help tackle the issue of sustainability in the food chain and drive the change we want to see in the world. Livestock farming contributes around 6 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases, which is nearly 18% of total global emissions. With the world population expected to grow to 9.8 billion by 2050, finding sustainable and eco-friendly alternative food sources is a necessity.Crickets have a shorter breeding period compared to traditional livestock and consume fewer resources – they require considerably less space, feed, and water. They have more protein than beef on the same weight basis and produce 80% less methane.
