The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) was established in 1980 as a non-profit professional organization for chemical engineers with the objective to introduce chemical engineers as a distinct profession from chemists and mechanical engineers. AIChE encourages student chapter activities to be focused on academic and integration of student members into the professional world as one of various methods to approach students around the world. The American Institute of Chemical Engineers Student Chaper in University of Indonesia (AIChE UI SC) was established on 1st May 2020. AIChE UI SC will act as a catalyst for the UI Chemical Engineering Department's Student which focuses on broadening its competence, preparing the basics to encounter the rapid development in technology industry and introducing knowledge regarding chemical engineering. As for the members, AIChE UI SC will prepare them with professional skills and knowledge to brace real working situation.
