The Hon. MP Mark Holland's non-partisan Ajax Constituency Youth Council (Ajax CYC) was founded in 2017 to bring youth together from Ajax to engage with the federal political process. This governmental organization of young leaders works to address current issues such as mental health, transit, civic engagement, and financial literacy. Through partnerships with local groups, this organization's previous events have included the How to Adult, Budgeting 101, and Credit 101 series. Proceedings from the Budgeting 101 event were donated to Girls Inc. of Durham to equip girls to navigate gender, economic, and social barriers in order to grow up healthy, educated and independent. In addition to this, the Park Cleanup in partnership with Pick Waste and the Hot Chocolate with Holland event has been the gateway to fostering a line of communication within the community and directly with our Member of Parliament. The most recent Minding Your Mind in partnership with Carea Community Health Centre was another event that allowed for effective outreach to high school students at J.
