Akoesticum is a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization, staffed by a group of highly motivated professionals with backgrounds in performing arts, hospitality and entrepreneurship, as well as a number of volunteers.Founded in 2014 by musician Harold Lenselink, economist Victor van Haeren and architect Hans Sluijmer, as an international "centre of expertise and excellence" in Holland, open for all who want to perform and rehearse in an environment exclusively designed for the performing arts.Akoesticum nurtures the creative potential of both professional and amateur dancers, musicians and actors. It offers state-of-the-art equipment and overnight facilities at rates designed to accommodate groups of all sizes.Akoesticum resides in the unique historic premises of a former army base.
