We're a native language preservation Hub and have started with the Igbo Language of South East Nigeria, Africa.In 2012, the Igbo language was added to the UNESCO list of endangered languages... the key reason could be because of the rapid decline of use by Gen Y and Gen Z Igbo descendants. We at Akwukwo LLC have however, made it our first mission to igborize future generations of Igbo and half-Igbo children with innovative, FUN, and effectively engineered resources. We have meticulously engineered engaging tools to help children enjoy learning Igbo: - Virtual Igbo Learning program (www.biawazo.com)- Learn Igbo for Kids app on iOS and Android devices (www.akwukwo.com/apps)- Igbo children's board books (www.akwukwo.com/books)- Igbo Cartoons (www.akwukwo.com/cartoons)Our resources will not only get them speaking, they'll get them reading and writing in Igbo... This a gap we identified amongst fluent Igbo indigenes, home and abroad. A lot of people understand and speak but are unable to read and write.We understand that while it may be a bit late for some adults to learn their native language, it is a PERFECT time to get the future generation fluent.With our resources, children would happily learn, retain knowledge and naturally pass it down to future generations which will make it almost impossible to forget...
