ONE BELT ONE ROAD economic development strategy of China has not only further strengthens the friendship of both governments but also got appreciation in private sectors of both nations. In 2017 Al-Haj Group of Companies Pakistan has joined hands with renowned steel tycoon of China HEBEI Xingang Iron & Steel Group to work together in steel sector of Pakistan. Al-Haj Asia Star Steel was established in June 2017, with planned production capacity of 2 million tons to be completed in two phases. At the present, it is the largest steel production, manufacturing, smelting and sales company in Pakistan under China-Pakistan joint venture, and also the largest Chinese funded Steel Company entering in Pakistan. The Head quarter is located at "East Service Road I-9/3 Industrial Zone, Islamabad. In the first phase of project a 500,000 tons high-quality steel bar per annum will be produce. The production plant is located at "Gadoon Industrial Estate, KPK Province".
