The Albany County Bar Association's more than 1,200 members represent a broad spectrum of the legal community such as solo and small firms, corporate and public sector attorneys, judges and court personnel. Founded in 1900 to promote collegiality among the bench and bar, the private trade organization has since undertaken many projects and programs that enhance the mission of the ACBA.Through social and philanthropic events and CLE offerings, the ACBA works diligently and consistently to enhance the member experience and offer benefits and services to the community. Although the ACBA and the practice of law has changed over the past one hundred plus years, the mission of the ACBA remain the same: The purpose of the Albany County Bar Association is to promote professional collegiality among the bench and the bar; facilitate public service and access to justice for all; and offer programs, benefits and services to enhance the skills of its members.
