Real Estate - Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom
Albany Lettings was established in 1995 by Neil Johnston when, after several years of managing his own properties, he decided to offer Landlords the standard of service that he himself would be happy with. From modest beginnings and mainly through word of mouth and referrals, Albany Lettings grew. Before the term "buy to let" was coined, Neil was purchasing and managing properties on behalf of investors, many of whom were Church of Scotland ministers who used their property as part of their pension fund.In 1999 the opportunity to purchase 168 Bruntsfield Place arose; at that time it was a dilapidated jewellers shop with a one bedroom flat attached at the rear. After a quick makeover and conversion Albany Lettings' Bruntsfield office was opened, Neil being the sole employee. As they say "the rest is history". Between 2009 and 2010 the property underwent a major refurbishment and a bright airy and modern office was created; computers and telephone systems were upgraded, and the formerly damp basement converted into a kitchen cum meeting room.By this time Albany had grown to seven professional and dedicated staff providing landlords with the highest standard of service. Albany is well positioned to proactively meet the challenges of the future and will ensure that we remain at the forefront of the letting industry in Edinburgh by continuing to provide Landlords with the best service possible.
