Working smarter togetherAlbury Wodonga Connected Communities (AWCC) is an independent, philanthropic body overseeing charitable grants derived from three Bendigo Bank branches across Albury, Lavington, and Wodonga. It is a not for profit company, providing a platform for community groups and organisations to apply for funding across a number of different sectors, located in the Albury Wodonga and surrounding region.What does AWCC do?In partnership with the Bendigo Bank, AWCC distributes grants to a variety of members in our community to benefit the broader community as a whole. Grants categories include:YouthArts and cultureCommunity eventsHealth and well-beingSportCommunity servicesEnvironmentDisabilityHow does it work?It's as easy as 1,2,3…Choose Bendigo Bank Albury, Lavington or Wodonga as your local bankNominate AWCC as your community beneficiary (by tagging your accounts)AWCC receives a commission payment from the Bendigo BankThat commission goes directly to the AWCC Grants Fund. The more new and existing accounts that are tagged, the more funds are donated by Bendigo Bank.There are no additional fees associated with tagging your Bendigo Bank account. Commissions are paid as part of Bendigo Bank's community engagement budget and are made at no cost to the customer. There is no change to the way customer accounts operate, and all the funds raised go towards the AWCC local Grants.Where do funds go?AWCC has its own board of directors, made up of local community representatives who make the decisions on how the money is allocated.AWCC holds two Grant applications per year, with Grants evaluated by the AWCC grants sub-committee against specific criteria.
