We have initiated Climate Action in Ecuador's Portovelo-Zaruma mining district with a proposal to APROPLASMIN* Members with whom we are in advanced discussions to execute a Joint Venture Agreement to convert one of their 87 whole ore mercury amalgamation Chilean processing centers to a mercury free center.Conversion of the center will eliminate the monthly use of 2.2 kg of deadly neurotoxin mercury in ore processing, 2 tonnes of toxic cyanide salts used in remediating tailings and recover more gold safely and sustainably.We plan to prototype a 60 tonnes per day (t.p.d.) state of the art mercury free processing center equipped with innovative technologies using manipueira to leach gold from ore and tailings to profit proudly from sustainably reclaimed tailings gold, a globally wasted commodity.
