Alcohol and Drug Assessment Services (ADAS) provides Department of Transportation (DOT) Qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) services to employees who have violated a DOT drug and alcohol regulation. ADAS provides a welcoming and professional environment for the returning to duty process, including the initial employee substance abuse evaluation, recommendations for a course of treatment or education and referrals to an acceptable program, a face-to-face follow-up evaluation, the follow-up testing plan for the employee returning to work, and recommendations for an aftercare plan. ADAS also offers education and training to employers, employees and volunteers to ensure the traveling public's safety by establishing and maintaining a drug-free workplace ensuring our transportation system is the safest it can possibly be.ADAS also develops individualized substance abuse recovery plans to improve one's health and wellness, live a self-directed life and strive to reach his or her full potential. ADAS believes anyone can recover and can manage their conditions via many pathways. Supports are recognized for people in and seeking recovery and their families.
