Hospital & Health Care - Atlanta, Georgia, United States
ADACBGA was formed in 1992 to offer certification to Substance Use Counselors and Clinical Supervisors. We are based on the standards and methods offered by the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium/Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (IC&RC), a multi-state and international body organized to promote uniform professional standards and quality for the substance use counseling profession, giving the profession greater visibility in the U.S. and abroad. As a result of ADACBGA's membership in IC&RC, professionals credentialed by our board may relocate to other states, the military, and other countries, reciprocating their credential(s) with minimum effort and expense. Our mission is to protect the public through the provision of competency-based credentials that will assure quality care for those affected by substance use disorders. The Alcohol and Drug Abuse Certification Board of Georgia, Inc. (ADACBGA), is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit body.
