ALEE ANDERSON EDITORIAL WAS BORN OF PASSION FOR HELPING AUTHORS ACHIEVE THE SUCCESS THEY DESERVE. Having received my BFA in Writing, Literature, and Publishing from Emerson College, I set my sights on writing and editing right away. After a failed attempt at making it in New York City (which you'll understand if you've shared a 600 square-foot home with someone for a year) I moved to Nashville. I quickly landed a job at Thomas Nelson Publishers which was purchased by HarperCollins during my tenure there. This allowed me to see publishing from the side of a small house and from one of the "Big 5." This perspective gives me a unique edge while helping clients who are interested in pursuing mainstream publishing. Most recently, I co-owned a marketing and content development company called Ink & Well with marketing guru, Jennifer Keller, through which we worked with companies big and small, including publishing giant HarperCollins, iconic Nashville clothing brand, Sevier Skirts, and best-selling authors including Kristine Carlson, co-author of the explosively successful Don't Sweat the Small Stuff series. Now, through Alee Anderson Editorial, I focus mainly on helping authors (or individuals with a story to tell) meet their goals by writing and/or polishing content. I then take things a step further, using my marketing and branding expertise to work hand-in-hand with the author to create a beautiful, cohesive brand that closely links the aesthetic of the book cover, website, social media content, and more. I do all this from my lovely, wild home in Nashville, Tennessee. My husband, Jimi, and I have two young children, Madeline and Lucas, a cat named Harvey, and a dog named George. I am a genuinely happy person who treats everyone with the kindness and love of a wife and mom. Between this, my experience, and my passion for the work I do, I'm the perfect partner to help you achieve success in publishing, whatever that means for you.
