In French, Bolieu means "good place". And, well, Alex Bolieu Management are in a pretty good place right now – as are the bands composing their carefully chosen roster, Montreal's own We Are Wolves, Pas Chic Chic, Omnikrom and Claass. Of course working the music industry is a labor of love, but where others hope and dream and fizzle and die, director Alex Bolieu's involvement stretches into making ideas collide, talents strive, and opportunities arise in their own time and place. From his precocious love story with solfège as a third-grader to his tumultuous burgeoning bands back in the nineties, up until the confidently influential position he's now holding in the Montreal scene, Bolieu has forged a subtle, no-nonsense yet ambitious business style. Proof: in the span of five years, what started as an amicable entreprise with loads of flair has grown into a conscientious and crafty momentum builder, both locally and internationally.
