These crayfish are sustainably fished using traditional crafts in the lakes and rice paddies of Southern Spain. With China, the USA and Egypt, Spain is one of world's largest fishing and processing areas for crayfish.Ever since its creation, ALFOCAN has striven to restore the preeminence of crayfish as a delicacy for the world's epicures. The company's production centre near Seville (Isla Mayor, Andalusia) has an annual production capacity of over 2,000 metric tonnes and its crayfish processing lines are equipped with modern technology. Additionally, Alfocan works in close cooperation with plants in China and produces in Egypt to meet all our customer's demand. The construction of a manufacturing plant for crayfish meal, sold as a high-level natural animal feed and as a bait ingredient, assures the minimization of residual waste-flow, contributing to the environmental sustainability as a key-aspect of the company's mission and vision.ALFOCAN exports most of its crayfish to Europe (i.e. France, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, the United Kingdom) and the United States.
