Aliza was born in 1983 , far from the sand, the ocean and the surf. However, she was close enough to a camera (at least the disposable ones) to fall in love with photography. Aliza's passion for capturing moments of life began when she was a little girl. She remembers taking pictures of herself in the mirror, imitating what she had seen in the magazines. She was amazed by how a picture could evoke different emotions.Life brought Aliza to Venice Beach, California. Life also blessed her with a nice man, who also happened to be a great surfer. Watching him rip through waves sparked her interest in surf photography. She was inspired to take the plunge & save up enough money to buy her first digital camera. She started just photographing her boyfriend. Soon the other local surfers were asking her to shoot them as well. In the span of 5 months, Aliza went from teaching herself how to use her digital camera to selling surf photography.Aliza's need to express herself through photography has led her to branch out from taking surfing photos. Her current interests include event photography, such as concerts, parties and red carpet events.She has been shooting since 2005 & hasn't stop ever since.If you come to the West Side you may catch Aliza shooting surfers or shooting the local celebrities as a part of the Venice Paparazzi Team.
