All American Ocean Racing is determined to become the first "all under 30" team to compete in and to win the Volvo Ocean Race. By building a youth team of qualified sailors with passion, drive, and a common desire to prove themselves, All American Ocean Racing hopes that its journey will lead the next generation of sailors to continue to redefine the sailing landscape. The connecting thread between All American Ocean Racing's past, current, and future goals within offshore sailing is a mission to encourage youth participation in the sport. The Volvo Ocean Race's commitment to promoting youth entry in their race provides All American Ocean Racing with the ultimate medium to herald that message. Past youth entries in the history of the Race have included the 1993 Whitbread's Dolphin and Youth and the 2005-2006 Volvo's ABN AMRO II. Personally motivated by these programs, All American Ocean Racing will distinguish itself from these past teams by building an "all-under-30" team of sailors with diverse backgrounds, rousing stories, and a common desire to prove themselves in order to become the first youth entry to ever win the historically incumbent-dominated Volvo Ocean Race. The team's story will hopefully lead the next generation of sailors to continue to redefine the sailing landscape.
