All India Food Processors' Association (AIFPA) was established in the year 1943 by visionary pioneers in the most turbulent period of World War II and Indian Freedom Struggle. They perceived the need for scientific management of our Agro-Food Sector, with an emphatic focus on the development of Food Processing Industry in the country. AIFPA is serving the sector dedicatedly for over 75 years. The Platinum Jubilee Conference of AIFPA was inaugurated by the Hon'ble President of India.In regard to various matters concerning the Food Processing Industries in India, the Association is duly recognized by the Government of India, particularly the Ministry of Food Processing Industries as a Nodal Agency and it has close interaction with various Govt. bodies, such as:(i) Union Ministry of Food Processing Industries.(ii) Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.(iii) Food Safety and Standards Authority of India established under Food Safety and Standards Act-2006.(iv) Union Ministries of Finance, Agriculture, Commerce and Civil Supplies.(v) National Horticulture Board (NHB), Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India.(vi) Agricultural and Processed Food Products Development Authority (APEDA)(vii) Export Inspection Council of the Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India.(viii) Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) & its various Sectional Committees on subjects affecting the Food Processing Industry.(ix) Empowered Committee of State Council of Finance Ministers on Value Added Tax (VAT), GST, etc.(x) Quality Council of India etc.Basic Works of AIFPA: Seminars & Workshops Interaction With International Organisations & Exhibitions Matters Concerning Safety And Standards Of Various Processed Foods & Liaison With Fssai And Other Statutory Bodies Aifpa's Journal, "Indian Food Packer" And "E-Newsletter" Aifpa Awards Membership Of The Association
