The story of Allan Scott Family Winemakers is the story of the family, and it starts back in 1973 when Allan and Catherine came to settle in Marlborough. This was a time when the first grapes were being commercially established in what was to become an iconic wine-growing province in New Zealand. Wairau Valley in Marlborough has been its home from the beginning; and it is where it still grows, harvests, makes, bottles and packages award-winning wine that is sold throughout New Zealand and across the globe. With vineyards throughout Marlborough, Tasman and Central Otago, it is one of the few family-owned and operated winery groups of its kind in the region. Today, the organisation is led by Allan's son, Josh Scott. Josh has headed the winemaking team for several years and grew up learning the ins and outs of the business. He brings a knack for innovation, new product development to the organisation. Future planning, research & development and staff empowerment are core values he is instilling that will ensure the next generations of wine lovers, love Allan Scott Family wines.
