The Alliance Française de Gainesville is a non-profit cultural and educational association based in Gainesville, Florida and is run by a small team of dedicated volunteers. Our finances are based on membership dues and fundraising for our revenue. We have no public funding from any source.We are a part of the Alliance Française movement, the largest network of French language and cultural centers in the world. Currently there are some 1300 chapters in 112 countries, including some 140 in the USA alone. Altogether 400,000 students are currently learning French with an Alliance chapter somewhere in the world.
