French Cultural Center in Karachi - Pakistan since 1964 - 50th Anniversary in 2014 AfK as a local NPO promotes French language, increases awareness of French and francophone cultures, and fosters friendly relations between France and Pakistan. Alliance Française de Karachi - Pakistan, a special place to learn French and discover Francophone cultures. Located in the heart of Karachi (Clifton), the Alliance Française of Karachi fosters cultural, intellectual, artistic, and friendly exchanges between the French-speaking world and the local community. Supplementary resources are also available free to all members and students, as the Alliance Française is home to over 6000 books, newspapers, a big collection of art books, over 2000 films and audio materials to help in the learning process both linguistically and culturally. As part of a world-wide effort, the Alliance Française is proud to promote the integration of cultures within the Karachi community. Beyond the classrooms, the Alliance Française offers and supports continued learning also out of the classroom. Currently, the Alliance Française offers a variety of cultural and social events to its members and students, as well as to the general public. Events throughout the year include: lectures, art exhibits, films and documentaries series, concerts, traditional celebrations and social networking.
