Allied Recovery International is a non-profit, nongovernmental organization that specializes in providing water, sanitation, shelter, health facility and other public infrastructure to disadvantaged communities around the world. Our organization was founded in 2009 to assist the poorest and most vulnerable persons to achieve lives of dignity and purpose in the midst of crisis and upheaval. To achieve our vision, we have constructed schools, provided clean water and proper sanitation, created jobs in local communities, and promoted healthy behaviours in families, so far in two earthquake affected countries. ARI specializes in the sectors of housing and public infrastructure construction, and including clean water supply and sanitation, public health, and household economic security as appropriate for a holistic program. The approach with ARI is to operate from a community base and to collaborate with local counterparts. Our senior specialists add the most value by being based at field locations where their performance is responsive to and enhanced by direct involvement with projects, partners, and beneficiaries. To insure local ownership and program-sustainability, local partners set priorities and are involved in the design, implementation, and assessment of programs to the greatest degree possible. Guided by the aspirations of local communities, we pursue our mission with both excellence and compassion.
